Summary
Mininov is a mobile app for reading short bilingual fiction. We try to collect as little personal data as possible. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising. This page explains what we do collect, why, and how to contact us. If anything is unclear, email hello@keremcebi.co.
Who we are
Mininov ("we", "us") is the operator of the Mininov mobile application and this website. References to "the app" mean the Mininov application on iOS and Android.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the service: • Account identifier — a randomly generated identifier created the first time you open the app, used to associate your reading preferences and subscription state with your device. We do not require an email or name to use the app. • Reading preferences — the languages and genres you choose during onboarding or in Settings, your preferred font size, theme, and similar in-app settings. • Reading activity — which stories you open, your reading progress within a story, stories you save or bookmark, and any star ratings you give. We use this to power the "Continue reading", "Saved", and "For You" sections, and to recommend stories. • Subscription state — whether you have an active Mininov subscription, the product identifier, and renewal status. Payment itself is processed by Apple or Google; we never see your card details. • Device and app information — operating system version, device model, app version, and language setting. This is used to diagnose crashes and compatibility issues. • Support correspondence — if you email us, we keep the email and any information you choose to include.
How we use information
We use the information above to: • Provide the core reading experience (saved stories, progress, recommendations). • Verify and apply your subscription entitlements. • Diagnose and fix bugs and crashes. • Respond to your support requests. • Comply with our legal obligations. We do not use your data to train AI models, and we do not show third-party advertising in the app.
Service providers
We share data with a small number of providers that help us run the service: • Supabase — hosts our database and handles authentication for the anonymous account identifier described above. • RevenueCat — manages subscription state and entitlement checks. • Apple App Store and Google Play — process all subscription payments and billing. Their handling of your purchase data is governed by Apple's and Google's own privacy policies. These providers process data only to deliver their services to us, under contractual data-protection terms.
Where data is stored
Data is stored on infrastructure operated by the providers listed above and may be processed in countries outside your country of residence. We rely on the data-protection terms in our agreements with those providers to safeguard the data.
Data retention
We keep account, preference, and reading-activity data for as long as your installation remains active. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove the associated data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain limited records (for example, billing records required by tax law).
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@keremcebi.co from the address you use for support, or include your account ID (Settings → About → Account ID). We will respond within the time frame required by applicable law.
Children
Mininov is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will delete the account.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be communicated in the app.
